The emotional barriers

came crashing

down

And I crumpled

in a pile of

tears

Weeping with water

beating against

me

And the curtain

caught under my

knee

Strained to move

to breath

I choked on

words in

heaves

Sounds were distant

reality was

lonely

And helplessness is
